Privacy

AbsoBeauty does not collect personal data. The site has no sign-up, forms, cookies, visit counters or ads. Fonts, scripts and photos come from our own server; your browser does not contact any other sites.

What is stored in your browser

The shelf (product names, types and opening dates) sits in your browser’s localStorage under the key absobeauty.shelf.v1. The last place and altitude on the Sun page sit under the key absobeauty.sun.v1. None of this goes to the server. You can delete the shelf with the “Clear the shelf” button, and everything at once by clearing the site’s data in your browser.

The app (service worker) keeps copies of the pages you have opened so that the tools work offline.

The label decoder, self-check and quiz

The ingredient list is decoded right in the browser and saved nowhere. Answers to the skin type self-check and the “Myth or fact” quiz are neither saved nor sent.

Server

The server is in Moscow and serves only the site’s files. No visit log is kept. Technical error logs are kept for a limited time.

Links to other sites

Links to sources and group projects open in a new tab. When you follow them, the other site sees the same as on any ordinary visit: network address, browser and time.
